About the Photographer

This passion dug its claws into me when I was a young boy. Single digits, for sure. My parents bought me a disposable Kodak camera, and I haven't stopped shooting since. Film, digital, video, disposable, cell phone, you name it. If it has a lens, I've shot it. This passion and I have a symbiotic relationship. I feed it my memories and it holds them tight for me, safe from the slow march of time. Eventually, people started paying me to feed it their memories as well. Turns out, I'm actually pretty great at it.

Michael Angelo
Born in California and raised in Texas, Michael Angelo combines his background as a writer with his passion for photography to tell your stories through the timeless practice of photographic journalism, employing a technique that Henri Cartier-Bresson famously called the "art of the found".

When he’s not writing about himself in the third person, Michael Angelo likes to travel the world with his girlfriend Sarah, who just so happens to be an amazing videographer. Destiny has a funny way of connecting people like that.

Having worked at several publications (including The Monitor, Pulse Magazine, The Rio Grande Guardian, The Pan-American, and The Panorama), Michael Angelo is well-accustomed to high stress and tight deadlines.

That's Mike in a nutshell. Now let's get to know you.
